Learning & Development Assistant

The Learning and Development Assistant supports training activities within the L&D department across our Sydney and Vancouver studios. In this position you will be responsible for supporting training activities at the direction of and in collaboration with the Learning and Development Supervisors.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Work with the L&D leadership, in Sydney and Vancouver, to understand learning objectives and needs across the business. You will help implement learning solutions and initiatives
  • Assist with various activities that deliver training to staff across all departments, preparing training tools, facilities and equipment, where necessary
  • Review “Third Party” training materials to satisfy the identified Learning needs across all groups
  • Learn and use content authoring tools, as required, to support publishing of e-learning and training sessions – training provided
  • Assist in booking training sessions and activities, in partnership with Production and participants
  • Maintain reporting information from training activities
  • Undertake any other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the L&D leadership

What you bring:

  • 1+ years’ experience assisting a training department or related areas
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow process
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technology and learning tools
  • Experience assisting with multiple activities/initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Flexibility to pivot between training activities as priorities evolve
  • Willingness to build strong working relationships and teamwork
  • Education in Training or another related field, is a bonus
  • Basic design and/or Adobe skills is a bonus
