Please note this is a hybrid position and requires you to work from our Sydney studio for part of the work week. This is not a remote opportunity. 

We are seeking a Senior Full Cycle Recruiter to join our Global Talent Team partnering with various internal partners (Artist Management, Production, HR, L&D, Tech). In this role you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process across our Sydney & Vancouver studios, from sourcing candidates to onboarding successful hires. In order to hire the very best people for each role we need our Recruiters to be experts in the roles, departments and shows they are staffing for while having the flexibility to support across a range of roles given the needs at the time. Given the fast paced and high volume nature of this work we are looking for someone who possesses the ability to excel under pressure but without losing focus on their staffing strategies and the delivery of a stunning candidate experience.

What you’ll get to do

The ideal Sr Recruiter will guide their hiring teams through the recruiting process by consulting on the candidate profile, developing a sourcing strategy, attracting top talent, assessing candidates and successfully managing the offer process with various internal partners (Artist Management, Production, HR). The Sr Recruiter is responsible for maintaining a high level of transparency and communication in their actions and keeping their hiring teams and partners up to date with their recruitment efforts and candidate pools. They will be called upon to support the continued improvement of the department, working on projects and strategic initiatives as required.

  • Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing/recruiting strategy based on a thorough understanding of position requirements, talent intelligence and maintaining an active candidate pool to anticipate future hiring needs of the studio
  • Optimize recruiting programs and partner with team members on critical recruiting initiatives that drive operational excellence
  • Project manage the day to day recruitment operations through the development and execution of full life cycle recruitment plans; ensuring the candidate, team, and partner experiences are met with exceptional service delivery
  • Utilize knowledge of local immigration and relevant labor laws in supporting hiring strategy
  • Adheres to recruitment ATS and other tools’ policies and processes by utilizing system for sourcing and tracking of candidates and activity
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers to define and manage expectations, providing regular updates
  • Drive facilitation of continuous improvement via measurement tools and recruitment analytics
  • Lead or participate in strategic projects
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members as needed
  • Use your online presence to promote Animal Logic and available opportunities, maintaining consistency with the employer brand
  • Represent the Company for recruiting purposes at identified networking and industry events, job fairs, conferences, and schools and participate in outreach strategy discussions

What you bring

  • 7+ years of prior recruiting experience with emphasis on fast paced, strategic & high volume recruiting
  • Experience in the Animation industry or adjacent industries (Entertainment, Gaming, VFX) is a must
  • Adept at sourcing and attracting top-tier talent using various channels and tools
  • Outstanding interviewing and assessment skills to identify high-potential candidates efficiently
  • Keen eye and proactive approach to process improvement and supporting junior team members
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, building credibility with candidates and show stakeholders alike
  • Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion and it’s importance when hiring
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools to streamline processes. Knowledge of Greenhouse or Workday (ATS) and Google-Suite would be a plus
