It’s been a decade since the animated feature film, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole took flight, so we wanted to share some information on The Art of book!
The Art of Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole book was first published in 2012, two years after the film was released. It was self-published by Animal Logic, with 1,000 copies printed in the first edition and then due to demand, we had another 1,000 printed in 2015.
In 8 years we have sold about 1,200 copies to 48 separate countries, with only about 15 getting lost in the post (don’t worry, we resent them!)
The book contains behind-the-scene artworks of environments, characters, props and lighting and, at over 150 pages, it is only a small percentage of the total work that was produced by the art department. Thank you to everyone who has purchased and loved this amazing piece of artistry!
