The LEGO Ninjago Movie celebrated it’s world release today and our Animal couldn’t be more excited!
In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas, who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power.
Story and editorial for The LEGO Ninjago Movie was split between Animal Logic in Sydney and Los Angeles; production design, asset creation, and final grade and output was created in Animal Logic’s Sydney studio with animation and shot production split between its Sydney and Vancouver studios. From pre production stage in August 2013 through to final delivery in August 2017, over 480 artists, production and technical crew and over 200 support staff worked in the Animal Logic Sydney, Los Angeles and Vancouver studios.
As with the first LEGO Movie, each brick was individually created in CG then assembled into the character, environments and scenes. The city is made up of 12,680,043 bricks. That’s 48,191 square metres or 9 NFL football fields!
